CotonBarH is proud to introduce Minta from The Woodland Cottage Cotons in Spain
Elvira of CotonBarHWelcome WELCOME to my home page. I am a small hobby breeder in Damon, Texas, near Houston, specializing in Coton de Tulears that are not the traditional white. This rare breed originated in Madagascar . The origional Cotons wore coats of many colors. Somewhere along the line, some say, the french articrats, bred the color from them so that white was the normal. I breed them to put the coats of many colors back on my children.
Some would say a Coton with a black or colored coat is not a pure Coton, my top, founding, stud BlackTye is AKC-FSS registered and AKC DNA tested to be a pure bred Coton de Tulear. Tye is more than 5 years old and his coat is coal black with a white chest.
This nice thing is Cotons are a very sturdy breed with no known health issues, and can live 14 to 18 years. Coton de Tulears do well living on the farm or in an apartment. They are extremely smart and very easy to train. They love to learn tricks and they have wonderful personalities They soak up any and all attention you give them. They are a very social dog, and they love children and get along well with other pets. I enjoy raising the Coton de Tulear breed because they are so sweet, loving, easy going, and kind hearted. They love to give and receive affection.

A GOOD breeder takes a LIFETIME interest in ALL dogs produced. I want to know how your puppy does in its new home, I encourage getting calls, emails, cards from you and I am always there for you when a question or problem comes up. A good breeder is a mentor and a good friend to all buyers and dogs they have produced. A good breeder is passionate about the breed and breeds with high ethics and morals to improve the standards of the breed. A good breeder will sell the puppy with a spay/neuter contract not alter the dog before placement! A spayed or neutered dog will live a long heathier life! That being said. I enjoy hearing from all my Coton owners. I provide a loving start to each of my puppies lives and look forward to knowing how they are doing and adjusting with their forever families.
Puppies shown in the photos on this page are from previous litters.
